Taihu Lake is located on the southern edge of the Yangtze River Delta. Also known as Wuhu and Lize, it is one of the five major freshwater lakes in China. The lake area of Taihu Lake is 2427.8 square kilometers, the water area is 2338.1 square kilometers, and the total length of the lake shoreline is 393.2 kilometers. It spans two provinces, Jiangsu and Zhejiang. Wuxi is to the north, Huzhou is to the south, Yixing is to the west, and Suzhou is nearby to the east. Open all year round and open all day.
