The Taiping Heavenly Kingdom’s Loyal King’s Mansion is located on Northeast Street in Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province, adjacent to the Humble Administrator’s Garden. It is the mansion of Li Xiucheng, the Loyal King of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom, a representative of the peasant uprising regime in the Qing Dynasty. It is one of the more complete buildings remaining from the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom period and is also one of the more complete peasant uprising army mansions preserved in Chinese history. In 1961, it was announced as a national key cultural relics protection unit by the State Council. It is open all year round from Tuesday to Sunday, 09:00-17:00; closed all day on Mondays.
Key Tips:
1. Visitors who are improperly dressed, wearing slippers (of sponge, plastic, cotton and other materials without back support), carrying pets, or carrying flammable, explosive, alcoholic liquids, and dangerous goods are not allowed to enter the museum. The temperature in the museum is about 20 degrees Celsius all year round, please dress appropriately.
2. Engaging in paid service activities without the museum’s permission is not allowed.
3. Conducting explanatory activities inside the museum is prohibited. Official travel agency team guides providing explanations for the team must present valid travel agency mission dispatch orders.
