The Taiping Heavenly Kingdom’s Prince’s Mansion, commonly referred to as the ‘Prince’s Mansion’ by locals, is located at No. 9 Tongzhenguan Alley, Heping Street, Yicheng Town, Yixing City. Originally constructed during the Qing Dynasty, it was a residence of the Shi family. Later, it also served as the headquarters for Prince Li Xiucheng and is now a protected cultural heritage site at the provincial level in Jiangsu. The mansion consists of three sections, all with a hard mountain top. The first section has seven rooms with a depth of six bays. The second section has five rooms, including three main rooms and one side room on each side. The third section also has five rooms with a depth of eight bays. There are four murals on the east and west walls of the main hall in the first section, and four murals in the main hall of the third section, all of which are works from the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom period. In 1985, the mansion was renovated and opened to the public as the Yixing Historical Cultural Relics Exhibition Hall. The second section serves as the main exhibition hall. It is open to visitors all year round from 8:30 to 11:00 AM and from 1:30 to 5:00 PM.
