The Taiping Old Street in Suzhou has a long history. Inside the street, there is the former residence of Wang Gao, the Grand Guardian and Grand Tutor of State Pillar. There are historical relics such as Wang Gao’s cemetery, Yanyi Hall, Phoenix Stone Bridge, bridge inscription, stone god for protecting the bridge, ancient ginkgo tree, Wang’s ancestral temple, century-old boxwood, Ming and Qing dynasty residential houses, Huajia storefront, and Yuyuan rice mill, brick garden granary, etc. Ancient architectural residential houses are built along the river. The courtyard structure is complete and the remains are well-preserved, containing rich historical and cultural connotations.
