The Taiping Old Street in Suzhou has a long history. Inside the street, there is the former residence of Wang Gao, the defender-in-chief of Nanshou and the grand tutor of Zhuguo. The historical relics include Wang Gao’s cemetery, Yanyi Hall, Phoenix Stone Bridge, the inscription on the bridge stone, the stone god protecting the bridge, ancient ginkgo trees, Wang’s ancestral hall, century-old boxwood, Ming and Qing dynasty folk houses, Huajia storefronts, and Yuyuan Rice Mill, brick garden granary and so on. Ancient architectural folk houses are built along the river. The courtyard structure is complete and the remains are well-preserved, containing rich historical and cultural connotations.
Opening hours: Open all day from January 1st to December 31st.
