Taishi Ci’s Tomb is located on the southern slope of the Zhongfeng Peak in Beigushan, Zhenjiang City, Jiangsu Province. The tomb stands at a height of 1.7 meters with a diameter of approximately 3 meters, built on a stone platform measuring 6.7 meters in length and 7.4 meters in width. The retaining wall on the north side is 6.8 meters long and varies in height, approximately 2 meters. In front of the tomb, there is a marble stele standing at 1.43 meters high and about 0.7 meters wide, inscribed with seven large characters: ‘Tomb of Taishi Ci from the East’. The original tomb of Taishi Ci had long disappeared and was rediscovered during the construction of city walls in 1872, and has been repaired and maintained several times since. Before the Anti-Japanese War, it was renovated to look brand new. However, after the founding of the People’s Republic of China, the tomb was buried due to a landslide. The current tomb was reconstructed in 1985. Originally, there was a stele in front of the tomb that briefly described his life and achievements, but it no longer exists. The tomb is open to the public year-round from 8:00 to 17:00.
