The Tang Luocheng West Gate Ruins, along with the East Gate Ruins Square, South Gate Ruins Square, and North Gate Ruins Park, serve as significant testaments to the splendid historical and cultural heritage of Yangzhou.
This city gate was a western gate of the Luocheng during the Tang Dynasty in Yangzhou and is also one of the most complete Tang Dynasty city gate ruins discovered in recent years nationwide. Based on current archaeological findings, it is inferred that there were a total of 13 city gates in the Luocheng, with four on the east side, four on the south side, four on the west side, and one on the north side. Having four city gates on a single city wall, visitors can almost envision the grandeur of this city gate in its prime, with a bustling scene described as “vehicles like flowing water and horses like dragons.” The site is open all year round, accessible 24/7, with specific operating conditions subject to the daily opening status.Tang Luocheng West Gate Ruins
