Tang Yin (1470 – 1523), a renowned painter in the Ming Dynasty. His courtesy name is Bohu and also Ziwei. As he ranked first in the provincial examination, he was called Tang Jieyuan. After converting to Buddhism, he was titled Liuru. His hometown was at the northern end of Wuchu Lane in Suzhou (at the east end of Gaojia Bridge on Xizhongshi Street).
