Taoguang Temple is an influential ancient temple of the Tang Dynasty in Lingyin Scenic Area. It is located next to Yongfu Zen Temple. It was built by Taoguang, a famous poet monk from Sichuan in the Tang Dynasty, and hence its name. The temple has always been famous for worshipping Buddha, viewing mountains and seas. In history, Bai Juyi, when he was the governor of Hangzhou, often came to the temple to boil tea and compose poems. The gate of the temple is very special. It is in the form of white walls and gray arches, full of the charm of Jiangnan architecture. After entering the gate, there are the Great Buddha Hall, Mani Hall, Jinlianchi Pond, a pool of mountain spring, Guanhai Tower, Taoguang Patriarch Hall, etc. Behind the building, there are statues of Lu Dongbin and so on. The combination of Buddhism and Taoism is very special. Occasionally, people come to burn incense in the temple. With ancient charm of Zen music, it is very quiet and peaceful.
