Taoyuan Stream, located at the northern foot of Yushan Mountain in Changshu, features a narrow and elongated upper stream with large stones flatly paved at the bottom. After heavy rains, the water rushes down swiftly, resembling a sword with a cold and glittering light. The stone wall is engraved with the words ‘Ancient Moon Cold Spring’.
In the middle section, massive rocks are spread out, with water cascading down the smooth stone slopes, producing a sound akin to the playing of a zither or a drum. Protruding disc-shaped large stones in the stream are engraved with the words ‘Taoyuan Stream’, written by Tao Rui Xuan, a hermit of Jishan during the Qing Dynasty, Guangxu era.Taoyuan Stream
