The Taosu Sacred Realm is expanded from the original Muli Cave. The stalactites in Muli Cave, the bamboo forests all over the mountain, and the pottery making in Fan Li Pottery Workshop are the three major selling points of the scenic area. Humanistic scenic spots built according to the love legend of Fan Li and Xi Shi can be seen everywhere. In summer, the bamboo forest here blocks the scorching sun, and the cave is very cool.
It is also a good place to escape the heat. The Taosu Sacred Realm is located in Jintang Mountain, 28 kilometers southwest of Yixing urban area. It is only three stops away from Yixing Bamboo Sea. Covered by the glory of the “Three Caves in Yixing”, namely Shanjuan Cave, Zhanggong Cave and Linggu Cave, there are not many tourists in the Taosu Sacred Realm. The main gate in the north of the scenic area imitates the appearance of an ancient city gate. At the same time, it is also the Fan Li Culture Exhibition Hall, which contains pictures and texts about Fan Li’s life. After entering the gate, passing through the statue of Fan Li on Fan Li Square, you will reach the exit of Muli Cave. In a pool of clear water stands the statue of Xi Shi. Standing in the waterfall viewing pavilion, you can see the artificial waterfall hanging on the cave wall. Muli Cave is the essence of the scenic area. The exit is here at the gate, but the entrance can only be reached by crossing a mountain. The mountain is not difficult to climb. There are many small scenic spots along the way. Tourists in a hurry need to quicken their pace. Follow the circular mountain tourist path to the triangular Fanzhu Pavilion in the south. Then the Yixian Tian (a narrow passage between two cliffs) ahead is quite interesting. The Taihu Lake stone forest forms a gap that only one person can pass through. Then, after passing through the Xianhe Tower (Wangxi Pavilion), Yuanbaoshi and other scenic spots, you come to the bamboo forest corridor. Walk on the wooden plank road and cross the suspension bridge. Looking up, there are green and lovely bamboo forests. There are many varieties such as golden inlaid jade bamboo, Luohan bamboo and purple bamboo. .. Looking down, you can see the low Taihu Lake stone forest. Tourists with children can also go to the ecological amusement park in the bamboo forest to play on swings and slides. Continue to go south to the Thousand Turtle Longevity Pool. In the pool, there is a sculpture of a big turtle carrying a small turtle. On the west side of the pool is Fan Li Pottery Workshop. You can get a ticket and receive a portion of clay, and then use the molds on the table to make a piece of pottery of your own. On the east side of the Thousand Turtle Longevity Pool is the steamed bun-shaped ancient kiln of Fan Li and the God of Wealth Hall, which are not very interesting. Finally, enter Muli Cave on the north side of the Thousand Turtle Longevity Pool. Compared with the grandeur of Zhanggong Cave, Muli Cave appears secluded due to its narrow and long shape. The tour route in the cave is about 900 meters (including waterways). You can see stalactites in various shapes. Some are like welcoming pine trees, some are like spiritual immortal herbs, some are like peacocks spreading their tails. There are also landscapes named after the legends of Fan Li and Xi Shi such as Guanmei Bridge, Xishi Well and Wangfu Bridge. Remember to pay attention to the top of your head. There are many stalactites condensed into water droplets and about to drip, which are extremely vivid. Near the cave entrance, there is a section of waterway about 150 meters long. You can take a cruise ship or walk out of the cave. Opening hours: Open all year round from 08:00 to 17:00.
