The PHOTOFAIRS Shanghai Art Fair was founded in 2014. Since its establishment, nine sessions have been successfully held. Since the establishment of the PHOTOFAIRS Shanghai Art Fair, Meta Media has been an important partner of the fair. In 2025, the tenth anniversary of the establishment of the fair, Meta Media will bring a new look to the 10th PHOTOFAIRS Shanghai Art Fair as the organizer, inject global resources and communication energy, and continuously create Shanghai’s urban cultural IP to promote and enhance the leading, creative and influential power of Shanghai culture. From May 8th to 11th, 2025, the 10th PHOTOFAIRS Shanghai Art Fair will return to the Shanghai Exhibition Center, gathering nearly 50 galleries and photography art institutions from China and other countries or regions to start a dialogue around the global photography art ecosystem and the development prospects of global photography art. The fair will create interactions between photography art and multiple fields through new content sections, and invite photography collectors, professionals and art lovers from all over the world to start a journey of exploring contemporary photography art. The 10th PHOTOFAIRS Shanghai Art Fair also plans to jointly launch the award ‘Meta Eye Awards’ with the Shanghai Transboundary Image Art Festival to encourage the creation of young new media artists and look forward to the future of photography art.
