The Beike Museum is located within Fangta Garden in the ancient city area of Changshu. It is a specialized museum that collects and displays steles and rubbings from various dynasties. The museum covers an area of approximately 4,000 square meters and is constructed in the style of a classical Jiangnan garden. The stele corridor is 500 meters long and is divided into four exhibition areas: political economy, culture and art, religion and folklore, and biographies of notable figures.
It displays over 800 steles from the Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties. The museum also features attractions such as the Changshu Celebrity Hall, Chonglan Thatched Cottage, Jingxian Pavilion, Hanmo Pavilion, Ta Ying Pond, Qingyuan Building, and Yayu Residence, which echo the Fang Pagoda in front and back, with winding corridors and an elegant environment, making it an important place for people to rest and showcase Changshu’s history. It is open all year round from 08:00 to 16:00.Must Read
