The World’s Largest Cauldron is located in the courtyard of Yichang Foundry within the West Street Scenic Area. The courtyard gate is always open, with a massive iron cauldron standing in the center. This cauldron stands at 3 meters tall, providing ample space even for children to sit inside comfortably. The edges of the cauldron have been polished to a shine from the countless touches of visitors, making it a beloved backdrop for photos.
In fact, the site where the large cauldron is situated is an ironsmith’s workshop, with the words ‘Iron Cauldron Official Furnace’ inscribed on the walls. Visitors can not only observe the manufacturing process of ironware but also purchase a variety of pots and pans as souvenirs. The site is open all year round from 09:00 to 22:00.
