Introduction to the Three Islands Adventure Project
I. Project Overview
The island where this project is located is called Sanjie Island. It is composed of three small islands in the northwest corner of Baima Lake, with a total area of about 55,000 square meters. Sanjie Island is an important node of the water tour route of Baima Lake. Starting from Lizhuang Wharf, it only takes 10 minutes by boat to reach. Here we have created an interesting project that combines local culture and heterogeneous culture, allowing tourists to experience a unique journey in the beautiful scenery of the lake – Three Islands Adventure: The three islands are Fat Cat Island (with an area of 26,200 square meters), themed on stray cats, highlighting popular science and nature education; Emu Island (with an area of 8,870 square meters), setting up scenic spots inspired by the perceptions of different stages of life, and there are also fun small animal competitions and interactions; Baima Island (with an area of 19,500 square meters), there are various short-term art exhibitions.
II. Theme Characteristics
Under the main framework of ‘Three Islands Adventure’, we have derived three major themes of the project: The Story of Life, The Tale of the Local, and The Beautiful Life of Music, Art and Beauty. ‘The Story of Life’ is the core value of the project. Through stray cats, this special animal group in the city, it conveys respect, acceptance and protection for life. The largest of the three islands will be built into a cat-themed public welfare island.
III. Public Welfare Characteristics
Another important aspect of the Adventure on the Three Islands of Baima Lake is public welfare. The intention to do public welfare started with stray cats and became more firm and clear as the project design continued to deepen. We have established a cooperative relationship with the Austrian animal foundation Gut Aiderbichl and work hand in hand in animal protection and rescue as well as popular science education.
