PROJECT INTRODUCTION:
Shanghai Xinghe Ji Hotel is positioned as an apartment-style hotel located in the Shanghai International Tourism and Resort Zone, just one stop away from Shanghai Disneyland, and adjacent to the global membership-based warehouse wholesale market Pudong Costco (COSTCO), boasting a superior geographical location. The project’s goal is to transform the hotel floors, originally styled with a simple apartment aesthetic, into a family-oriented theme. Retaining the original functions while enhancing the stay experience for family users, increasing the hotel’s customer demands, and ensuring that the hotel’s operational space has more extensibility and future possibilities, these requirements add to the challenge of the project design. Xinghe Ji is an experiment in color and imagination, vivid and interesting like a girl’s paintbrush, and with a primitive sculptural sense like a boy’s modeling clay. The playful shapes of the blocks soften the seriousness of the space, stimulating vitality within it. Through such a process, we hope to continuously explore the possibilities of hotel family spaces, bringing unique travel experiences and aesthetic enjoyment to family users.
