Tianjie Temple is located in Yuhuatai District, Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province. Originally named Dalongxiang Jiqing Temple, it was built in the Yuan Dynasty. It is one of the three major temples in the capital of the Ming Dynasty. Inside the temple, there are buildings such as the Vajra Hall, the Main Buddha Hall, the Left Guanyin Hall, the Stone Wheel Scripture Repository Hall, the Three Saints Hall, the Left Gardenia Hall, the Right Patriarch Hall, corridors, bell towers, Pilu Pavilion, Banfeng Pavilion, Huayan Tower, as well as the abbot’s quarters, monk’s lodgings, dining halls, granaries and so on.
