The Tianmushan Scenic Area is located in Lin’an City. Passing through Tianmu Village, at the end is the tourist center at the south gate of Xitianmushan. From here, you can walk through the Chanyuan Temple to the Dashuwang Scenic Area on the mountain. You can also take the scenic area shuttle bus and arrive at the Longfengjian parking lot from the direction of the Glacier Grand Canyon. Then, walk and tour the Dashuwang Scenic Area. Tour route: Take the scenic area bus to go up the mountain. The vegetation on the roadside is very dense. If you go early, sometimes you can see the foggy scenery of Tianmushan surrounded by clouds. Start walking from the Longfengjian parking lot. The roads in the scenic area are basically a loop. In counterclockwise order are the main scenic spots such as Simian Peak, Upside-down Lotus, Five Generations Under One Roof, Dashuwang, and Kaishan Old Hall. Among them, the scenery of Simian Peak is better. Standing at the Yuli Pavilion on the top of the mountain, you can overlook the undulating mountains around. Especially in cloudy and foggy weather, the eyes are full of magnificent scenery with vast expanse of misty waves. Highlights of Dashuwang In addition, the highlight of the Dashuwang Scenic Area is naturally the ‘big trees’. Here you can see many rare huge trees. Some have a diameter of more than 1 meter and need several people to hug. Tourists who come here in groups always take pictures with their arms around the big trees as souvenirs. The trees here are not only huge in shape, but the bark of the trees also shows a gradual change effect of red, yellow and green. There are also some intertwined and exposed tree roots on the surface, covered with green moss, giving people a very deep feeling. Recommended route for going down After walking the loop, if you have the physical strength, you can continue to climb up to Xianren Peak. The altitude here is about 1500 meters, and you can see a more open scenery. However, the hiking trail here is not yet perfect and not easy to walk. If the weather is bad or it is late in the afternoon, it is not recommended to go. If you walk down the mountain, you can start from the Dashuwang scenic spot. Along the way, in addition to the stream that is always by your side, you can also see the relics where ancient masters practiced here. Although the Chanyuan Temple on the mountainside was rebuilt later, it is also quite secluded. You can come here for a walk. If you want to take a bus down the mountain, you need to walk the loop back to the Longfengjian parking lot. On the way back, you can go to the Glacier Grand Canyon halfway to see waterfalls and streams. Many tourists also choose to charter a car to go to the Tianmu Grand Canyon after returning to the foot of the mountain to see more spectacular canyon scenery. The driving time is about thirty or forty minutes. Tianmu Village around the scenic area is already a very mature farmhouse base, and there are many choices for eating and staying. Opening hours: Open all year round from 08:00 to 16:00. The last scenic area shuttle bus up the mountain is at 15:00. Please arrange your time reasonably for sightseeing.
