Tianyan Cave and Hua Ling Scenic Area is a large-scale rural leisure destination that integrates sightseeing experiences and leisure vacations. Located in Yongxing Village, Liuyin Town, Beibei District, Chongqing, the area’s altitude ranges from 740 to 820 meters. Due to its high elevation, the scenic area exhibits the four seasons’ changes with ‘spring green, summer shade, autumn red, and winter white.’ The region boasts a vegetation coverage rate of over 90% and includes Karst natural caves and more than 50 surrounding hills, with an open area of approximately 1200 acres. In addition to sightseeing, the scenic area also offers activities such as forest sports, camping experiences, jungle swings, family recreation, outdoor expansion, and themed events throughout the year.
Upon entering the cave, a variety of strange and peculiar stalactites will greet you, broadening your horizons. The cave maintains a constant temperature of 18-20 degrees Celsius, truly offering a warm winter and a cool summer. The interior space is deep, vast, and well-ventilated. Every scene and object is vividly lifelike. The main attraction, ‘Tianyan Cave,’ is a Karst cave with a total length of over 800 meters and an interior space of 30,000 square meters. The cave landscape features grotesque rocks and dazzling lights. The main cave’s ceiling has a natural hole, resembling a ‘heaven-piercing eye.’ Standing inside the cave allows one to gaze at the sky and observe the clouds and the moon, hence the name ‘Tianyan Cave.’
Moreover, the scenic area utilizes more than 300 acres of terraced land around the cave and in the mountains to plant herbaceous, climbing, and woody plants, such as tree-shaped roses, zinnia, chrysanthemums, cherry blossoms, crape myrtle, and more than 10 varieties of flowers. When spring arrives and flowers bloom, the mountain flowers’ brilliance and purity are exceptionally fragrant and charming. After marveling at the cave’s natural wonders and the ingenuity of nature, one can also experience the softness and fragrance of a French-style town, enjoying the leisure and comfort provided by nature.
