The Ting Kau Bridge spans the Ma Wan Channel, connecting Cheung Sha Wan and Tsing Yi. It is a significant bridge in Hong Kong. With a total length of 2160 meters, it is a dual-purpose suspension bridge for both vehicles and railways.

Today, the Ting Kau Bridge serves as a major expressway linking Hong Kong International Airport, Lantau Island, and the urban areas. It is also one of Hong Kong’s iconic landmarks.

The bridge is exclusively for vehicular traffic and does not have pedestrian walkways. Visitors cannot walk on the bridge for sightseeing. However, this does not detract from the opportunity to admire the bridge. A viewing platform is located at the Tsing Yi Northwest section of the Tsing Yi Interchange Visitor Center, which offers a prime spot to appreciate the bridge.

This allows for a firsthand experience of driving on one of the world’s longest suspension bridges and crossing the vast sea. While driving on the bridge, one can enjoy the clear, azure waters on both sides, the scattered small islands dotting the sea, and a distant view of the lush green Lantau Island.
