The Tomb of Wu Zixu is located in Baiwu Prime Minister Temple in Xukou Town, Wuxian City. Wu Zixu (?, before 484 BC), named Yuan, was from the State of Chu in the Spring and Autumn Period. His father and elder brother were killed by King Ping of Chu. He fled to the State of Wu and helped King Helü of Wu build cities and train troops. He was determined to strive for strength and served as the prime minister.

During the reign of King Fuchai, he advised the king to refuse the peace offer of the State of Yue and stop attacking the State of Qi. As his advice was not accepted, the king gave him a sword and he committed suicide. The tomb of Wu Zixu in Wuxian County has a mound about more than one meter high, made of granite. In front of the tomb, there is an inscription on the tablet that reads ‘Tomb of Prime Minister Wu Gong of the State of Wu’.

Originally, there were tablets such as the tablet of the burial place of Prime Minister Wu Gong Lingyi of the State of Wu and the tablet recording the reconstruction of Gushan Temple, but none of them exist now. Nearby, there are also ancient sites such as the tombs of two concubines and the platform for conferring military titles. Open hours: open all day from January 1st to December 31st.
