Tongjun Mountain is located at the intersection of the Fuchun River and the Fen River, separated from the county town of Tonglu by just a river, making it a nearby scenic spot from the city. The scenery here is serene and tranquil, and it is said to be the place where the ‘patriarch’ Tongjun elder built his hut. Not only are most of the mountain’s landscapes related to this, but even the place name ‘Tonglu’ originates from it. Tongjun Mountain itself is a relatively small peak, with a height of only over 60 meters, and it can be toured within less than an hour, making it suitable for leisure walks with the elderly and children. Tongjun Mountain is free to visit, but if you plan to take the ‘Qi Li Yang Fan’ cruise ship within the scenic area, you will need to purchase a separate ticket. Upon entering the scenic area through the gate of Tongjun Mountain, the first thing you see is the statue of Tongjun elder, with a medicine gourd hanging on his shoulder and a leaf hat on his back, with a kind and benevolent expression. Not far from the statue, in the Hundred Herbs Garden, medicinal materials such as horse hoof path and dogwood are planted, all of which are good remedies for healing diseases. Passing the ‘Hometown of Medicine Ancestor Archway’ officially begins the mountain climbing. Amidst the greenery, you can see a Huizhou-style building with blue bricks, gray tiles, and horse head walls, which is Ye Qianyu’s former residence (Fuchun Painting Academy). After climbing more than a hundred stone steps, you can reach the top of the mountain. A seven-story Tongjun White Pagoda on the mountain is a symbolic landscape of Tonglu County, and it is worth taking a photo here as a souvenir. Standing on the Sifang Pavilion at the top of the mountain, overlooking the blue waves of the two rivers merging at your feet, there is a poetic charm. In addition, on the way up the mountain, you will pass by buildings such as the Four Directions Pharmacy, Tongjun Temple, and Tongjun Pavilion, which can be briefly visited. Taking the Qi Li Yang Fan cruise ship not far from the Hundred Herbs Garden at the foot of the mountain is the cruise ship dock of ‘Qi Li Yang Fan’. Compared with Yanziling Fishing Platform and Jiande’s Qi Li Yang Fan, which are also cruise ships on the Fuchun River, there are usually fewer tourists at Tongjun Mountain. The cruise ship sails upstream from Tongjun Mountain to the Fuchun River, passing the second bridge of the Fuchun River and returning after reaching the first bridge, with a total journey of about 40 minutes. The departure time of the cruise ship is adjusted according to the flow of people, usually requiring 5-10 people to set sail, so during the off-season, individual tourists should call the scenic area a day in advance to confirm if there are groups the next day to ensure there is a boat to ride. Opening hours are open all year round, all day. Must-see tips: On the mountain, at Tongjun Temple, you may encounter paid fortune-telling projects. If you do not intend to do so, you can politely refuse.
