#### Introduction
Summer vacation is the perfect time for children to explore and grow. As a mother, I cherish every opportunity to take my child on adventures. This year, with Shanghai’s unpredictable weather, I sought an indoor option with water activities to keep us cool. That’s when I discovered Baoyan Paradise, a place with a great reputation among parents and a must-visit on my list.

#### The Destination: Baoyan Paradise
Baoyuan Paradise, with its numerous branches in Shanghai, caught my attention, particularly the flagship store for its constant temperature water park. It was the perfect spot for a hot summer day. We decided on a spontaneous trip, purchasing tickets in advance through their mini-program for a discounted price.

#### Timing and Arrival
Baoyuan Paradise opens at 9:30 am, and we arrived right on time. We quickly realized that arriving early was a smart move, as there were so many attractions spread across five stories, making a full day feel like it wasn’t enough.

#### Transportation
The flagship store is located at 3825 Du Shi Road, Minhang District. Self-driving is the most convenient option, with a supportive parking lot offering free parking for the first four hours and a charge of 6 yuan per hour thereafter. Alternatively, taking the subway to Xinzhuang Station and then a taxi is recommended, which will get you there in about 10 minutes.

#### Preparation Before Departure
– **Dress Code**: Socks, long pants, and long sleeves are essential. This is not due to low temperatures but to prevent scratches while playing on slides. Children in short sleeves and shorts are not allowed on the slides.
– **Swimwear**: Swimsuits and bath towels are a must if you’re visiting the water park. Don’t forget waterproof diapers for young children.
– **Additional Items**: Swimming rings, swimming goggles, and other personal items can be brought as needed.

#### Layout of the Park
Baoyuan Paradise flagship store is expansive, with five floors, both indoor and outdoor areas:
– **First Floor**: Pet Paradise (11:00 — 18:00), Slide Paradise, and 5D, 7D, 9D cinemas.
– **Second Floor**: Naughty Castle, Building Blocks Area, Nail Salon, Arcade Area (10:30 — 18:00), Nursing Room, Birthday Room, Baking Classroom, Restaurant.
– **Third and Fourth Floors**: Water Park.
– **Fifth Floor**: Outdoor Adventure Area, including a children’s horse-riding field, sliding grass, pirate ship, carousel, etc.

Upon entering, we followed the health and safety procedures, including wearing masks, showing health codes, temperature checks, and hand washing. My child was eager to explore and have fun.

#### Stowing Away and Storage
There is a designated area for stowing away baby strollers at the entrance. It’s highly recommended to store belongings here first, especially since there is a lot to carry with children. The stowing area is conveniently located next to the Slide Park, where you can rent a box for just 5 yuan for all-day access.

#### Slide Park
The first attraction we visited was the Slide Park, which requires you to store your shoes before entering (a free service). The park offers a variety of slides for different age groups, including a special slide for parents and children to enjoy together, making it a thrilling experience for everyone.

This trip to Baoyan Paradise was an unforgettable experience, and I look forward to our next visit. For those who are young at heart, there are also the popular attractions of a 45-degree slide and a 90-degree slide, offering an adrenaline rush. Remember to dress your children in long sleeves, long pants, and socks, as the staff at the slide area are vigilant and responsible for safety. Children not dressed appropriately are not allowed to use the slides to prevent injuries from skin friction.

Adjacent to the Slide Park are 5D, 7D, and 9D cinemas, each with different age restrictions. The 9D cinema is suitable for children over 5 years old, while the 5D cinema is accessible for 3-year-olds. The showtimes vary in the morning and afternoon, with a notice board at the cinema entrance where you can check the schedule and plan your visit accordingly.

After exiting the Slide Park and watching a VR movie, it’s around 11 am, and the Pet Paradise is open. The second attraction, the Pet Paradise, requires an additional ticket purchase, but who can resist the charm of cute animals? Here, you can interact with the animals up close. At the entrance, you’ll immediately spot two adorable alpacas, who are the park’s internet-famous animals, and they are always part of the photo and feeding experiences. Please note that you cannot bring food into the Pet Paradise. If you wish to feed the animals, you can purchase food at the entrance, which includes fish food and carrots, priced at 10 yuan per portion. Remember to put gloves on your child to enhance safety for both the child and the animals during petting or feeding. After buying a portion of carrots for your child, you can embark on a feeding journey. The alpacas are incredibly cute, standing taller than my son with their big, innocent eyes. If not for my intervention, my son would have been tricked into giving away an entire box of carrots by their adorable appearance. They stretch their necks and eat one mouthful after another, as if they were bottomless pits. The bunnies across also hop over upon seeing the carrots, crowding around the fence with their round little butts playfully pushing each other. The prairie dogs are also masters of cuteness; they were once the kings of internet memes, but here they behave quite docilely, occasionally raising their heads to check for food. If lured with food, they forget their image and jump around. Come on, guess what animal this is? The animals in the Pet Paradise are particularly novel for children, bringing to life the creatures they’ve only seen in books, right before their eyes. Hedgehogs, squirrels, lizards, and various animals from the jungle and underwater worlds are all here, making it another place where children can play for a long time.

After feeding the small animals, it’s time to feed ourselves. We chose to have a meal at the restaurant on the second floor. There are pizzas, rice, hamburgers, and we can also choose set meals for convenience. The average cost is around 40 to 50 yuan per person. Beside the ordering area, there is a self-service beverage vending area, which is very convenient. Of course, it would be even more perfect if more children’s meals could be introduced.

Many children have the habit of taking a nap. Of course, in such a fun amusement park, most children are reluctant to sleep, but there are also those who can’t hold on, such as my son. While eating, he just fell asleep like this. Fortunately, there is a mother-and-baby room in Baoyan, also on the second floor. Different from ordinary mother-and-baby rooms, there are six warm small beds here, which can be used for babies to take a nap, but they are really in high demand! When I carried him in, there was only the last bed left. To create a sleeping atmosphere, parents turned off the lights, and so I also dozed off sitting beside him.

What about having a manicure?… The nail salon specially prepared for mothers in Baoyan flagship store is really a great benefit for mothers. It’s free. Since having a baby, there has been very little time for me to spend on myself. Here, I can.

The third project: Building block area and naughty castle. After the baby wakes up, continue to play! There are two places on the second floor that are very suitable for babies to play. One is the building block area and the other is the naughty castle. Have you seen building blocks larger than yourself? Here, children become porters and engineers, build city walls and build their own small castles. In the naughty castle, the combination of ocean balls and slides makes the baby reluctant to leave. Climbing up and down again and again.

The slide is the main project of Baoyan. Therefore, whether in the slide park, water park or naughty castle, there are slides. What makes me

**Video Game Area on the Second Floor**

The video game area on the second floor is suitable for relatively older children. This area is charged additionally, but there is no need to recharge. You can directly scan the code to play each project. The bumper cars here are free. The loudspeaker of the park will notify in advance. Since it’s free and fun, naturally there won’t be few people. So if you want to play, you need to line up early.

**Birthday Workshop and Baking Classroom**

There is also a birthday workshop and a baking classroom on the second floor. My baby is still a bit young, so I didn’t let him try parent-child baking. In his little mind now, it should be full of swimming, swimming, swimming! Yes, we came here just for this!

**The Fourth Project: Constant Temperature Water Park**

Take the elevator to the third floor. As soon as you get out of the elevator, there is a swimsuit sales area. Here there are a total of three changing rooms: male, female, and parent-child. Naturally, the parent-child changing room is the liveliest. There are independent rooms where parents can take their children to take a bath and change clothes together, but the rooms are relatively limited and you need to wait. There are storage boxes in the changing room. Scan the code to store things. It costs 10 yuan per box. Now it’s very advanced. You can directly pay by face recognition. You can also open the door repeatedly in the middle.

Many parents and children come to play for the water park. There are also many large water parks in Shanghai, but for children, Baoyan’s is really unique. Whether it’s the depth of the water or the temperature of the water, it’s very suitable for bringing children to play. It’s a constant temperature swimming pool all year round, so even in winter, you can enjoy playing in the water. Swimming, all kinds of slides, all kinds of cute little animals that can also spray water, and there is also a comfortable massage pool.

**Rainbow Slide and Other Attractions**

While this park may lack large-scale water attractions, it boasts a famous Rainbow Slide, a multicolored slide offering a thrilling combination of height and speed. Due to the height of the slides, there are restrictions on the children’s height: the Rainbow Slide requires a minimum height of 1.2 meters, and the Spiral Slide requires 1 meter. If these do not meet your requirements, there are plenty of slides suitable for younger children, designed with thoughtful consideration for their enjoyment.

It is highly recommended to start with the water park attractions immediately after entering the park. Many visitors tend to play from the first floor to the fifth floor, which means the afternoon is the peak time for water activities. Opting to play from the top floors down allows you to avoid the peak crowds.

**Outdoor Adventure Area on the Fifth Floor**

The fifth attraction, the Outdoor Adventure Area on the fifth floor, was unfortunately closed due to rain during our visit. We missed out on activities such as the Children’s Pony Ride, Grass Sliding, Pirate Ship, and Merry-Go-Round. We could only take a look at the large dinosaurs inside with Kai Kai, as if we were returning to the Jurassic World and embarking on an adventure through the mountain caves. Well, the activities we couldn’t enjoy will have to wait for our next visit.

**Love for Baoyan Park**

The reason for loving Baoyan is that both children and adults can find joy here, allowing parents to participate in their children’s play world and accompany them in their growth.
