The Torreya Grandis Forest Park is mainly characterized by ‘unique postures of ancient torreya trees, lush forests and ancient trees, excellent fruits and famous teas, heavy rocks and flying waterfalls, and cultural embellishments’. It is a comprehensive forest park integrating multiple functions such as leisure and sightseeing, vacation and convalescence. The park is rich in products and concentrates torreya trees accounting for 60% of the national output. The area of torreya trees is more than 50,000 mu. There are 25,000 ancient torreya trees over 500 years old and more than 2,700 rare ancient torreya trees over 1,000 years old. There are more than 6,500 mu of cherries, more than 8,000 mu of famous teas, and more than 10,000 mu of chestnuts. In addition, there are many famous and high-quality agricultural products such as moso bamboo, bayberry, and peach trees. It can be said that ‘flowers are in bloom all the time and fragrant fruits are available in eight seasons’. It is a natural primitive forest park and a veritable Huaguo Mountain.
