Toutuo Ridge is located to the west of the main peak of Zhongshan Mountain (Purple Mountain) in Nanjing. With an altitude of 425 meters, it is the second peak of Zhongshan Mountain. It is named after the Toutuo Temple on the ridge in ancient times. The scenic spots in the area include Zijinshan Observatory, Shanxiao Pavilion, Baiyun Pavilion, Liujidong Cave, Qinqianshi Rock, Baiyun Spring, Heilongtan Pool, Taizi Rock, Yiren Spring and other major scenic spots. There are huge rocks standing on the ridge and the peaks are precipitous. It is a place to enjoy the beautiful scenery of lakes and mountains from a commanding height. The terminus of the Zijinshan sightseeing cableway is located here. Open all year round and open all day.
