The most considerate aspect of this project is the presence of long wooden benches for sitting next to the queues.
Joyous Wind Fire Wheel
The ‘Joyous Wind Fire Wheel’ is located next to the ‘Heaven and Earth Duo Heroes’ and is not very high, relatively more friendly. A 360-degree aerial rotation, the name suggests a fast spin, but it’s actually quite manageable.
Swinging Umbrella
This name might sound a bit odd, but it is one of the classic amusement park attractions. Initially, when it slowly accelerates and ascends, there’s a bit of anxiety, but once it stabilizes, it’s simply exhilarating! Flying feels particularly relaxing, and it’s not as dizzy as imagined. The first time I rode this was with a pass obtained from watching a performance, but it was very late, so I played this on the spot before leaving. At that time, I was still very young, in elementary school, and I felt particularly scared when I rode it. For a while afterward, I was afraid to go to amusement parks.
Ocean Years (pirate ship)
The ‘Ocean Years’ is what everyone commonly refers to as the pirate ship, one of the favorite attractions for both adults and children. Sitting on the sides of the pirate ship is the most thrilling, not only because the sense of weightlessness is stronger than in the middle, but also due to the visual impact. During the ascent, you can even wave hello to friends across from you. I believe there is no need to sit in the middle, as the long queue makes the experience rather bland, although some friends who are afraid might close their eyes, which is quite puzzling, haha. Join the pirates as they ride the waves from bow to stern.
Peak of Bravery
The ‘Peak of Bravery’ is located to the right of the pirate ship and in my opinion, it is the second most thrilling ride after the ‘Valley Dragon’ (only these two attractions in Happy Valley deserve full stars from me). You can see this colossal structure from afar; it looks incredibly high from below, and it’s hard not to stop and watch as you pass by. At first, I was a bit hesitant to try it, but Taotao said it would be a pity not to experience it since we came to Shanghai Happy Valley, so I went ahead.
