Upon arrival at the hotel, the location is quite good. In addition to public transportation routes, there is also the Songjiang tram nearby, just a few stops from the Jiu号线 subway station. It’s not far from Sheshan Resort Area and nearby shopping malls, making it quite convenient. This hotel is probably the only five-star hotel in Songjiang city and it offers a good cost-performance ratio within Songjiang University Town.
Upon entering the lobby, it is quite spacious. The executive lounge is on the left and the hotel front desk is on the right. There is a celebrity wall here, indicating that many celebrities have stayed here and many international leaders have been hosted.
I stayed in a superior twin room this time. It was generally clean and had good sound insulation. The bathroom has both a shower and a bathtub, and all necessary amenities are available.
It was too tired to play Happy Valley on the first day, so I slept in late the next day and went to breakfast at nine o’clock. The environment was very relaxing. There is both Chinese and Western food here, and you can choose whatever you like to eat. The dishes are diverse and abundant. You just need to show your room card when entering. Tao Tao wanted to sleep a bit longer, so I went to eat by myself first, enjoying the quiet morning breakfast time alone. There is also a children’s playground next to the hotel restaurant, which is very considerate. If you are staying with children, you can take them to play.
By the way, if you want to play around the hotel, I can recommend three places:
① Guangfulin Cultural Relics
It has a bit of the feeling of Shanghai’s ‘Little Forbidden City’. The park’s antique buildings are mainly in vermilion red. Walking on the brick paths gives a feeling of time travel.
② Shanghai Film and Television Park
A good place for photography, with an old Shanghai feel. Requires advance reservation.
③ Thames Town
A leisure vacation villa area in British style. It was one of the shooting locations for the movie ‘Tiny Times’.
