Waibaidu Bridge

The Waibaidu Bridge, with a history of a hundred years, is one of the landmark buildings in Shanghai. It carries the historical and cultural heritage of old Shanghai and also witnesses the rapid changes of new Shanghai. As long as movies and TV dramas related to early Shanghai will be filmed here. The Waibaidu Bridge is a bridge made entirely of steel structure. It is 106.7 meters in length and has a span of 52.16 meters. It is an important passage connecting Huangpu District and Hongkou District in downtown Shanghai. Pedestrians and vehicles drive on separate lanes. Standing on the bridge during the day, you can enjoy the scenery on both sides of the Suzhou Creek. On one side are old-fashioned alleyways, and on the side are modern buildings.

At night, the landscape lights in the distance and near make it even more gorgeous and lively, attracting the attention of passers-by. You can overlook the scenery of the Bund on the bridge. The Monument to the People’s Heroes and the Bank of China Building are clearly visible. The Oriental Pearl Tower, Binjiang Avenue, Jinmao Tower, and the Shanghai World Financial Center on the other side of the Huangpu River are even brightly lit. If you come in summer, you can enjoy the breeze by the Huangpu River here, watch the people on the ferry, listen to the sound of the whistle, and walk around. It is very comfortable.
