Weidun Relics Park is located in the southeast suburbs of Changzhou, featuring a tranquil and beautiful lake surrounded by trees.
As one of the earliest primitive village sites discovered in the Changzhou area, dating back five to six thousand years, Weidun Relics is an important Neolithic site in the Taihu Basin. Visitors can learn about the relevant history at the on-site museum within the park. The Weidun Relics Museum, situated atop the archaeological excavation site, is a three-story building that showcases some of the primitive living scenes and displays numerous cultural artifacts. Interactive multimedia segments allow visitors to learn how to measure skulls and piece together pottery. The Weidun Relics are part of the Majiabang-Songze culture, and an interesting fact about the Weidun people is that they would remove healthy central and lateral incisors according to the custom of men on the left and women on the right. Within Weidun Park, one can enjoy leisurely walks along the lake, with bridges, corridors, pavilions, and docks tastefully arranged around it. The lake’s vast expanse is home to a 60-meter long 17-arch stone bridge, which has a unique design. The park is open all year round, with 24-hour access.Weidun Relics Park
