West Lake Cultural Square, located on the north side of the Canal in Wulin Square, Hangzhou, is situated in the heart of the city, just 2 kilometers away from the renowned West Lake. This comprehensive square integrates various functions such as culture, entertainment, performances, exhibitions, and fitness.
Drawing inspiration from Hangzhou’s unique West Lake culture, canal culture, and ancient tower culture, the square’s design serves as the architectural backdrop. It combines the grandeur of modern civilization, reflecting the essence of the cultured and wise Wu Yue culture.
The architectural complex of West Lake Cultural Square is divided into five major blocks: A, B, C, D, and E. Block A houses the Zhejiang Science and Technology Museum, Block B the Zhejiang Natural Museum, Block C the Zhejiang Culture and Art Center, and Block D the Global Center Business Building. Block E is dedicated to the Xiling Seal Society, Zhejiang Museum, Zhejiang Revolutionary History Memorial Hall, and Zhejiang Painting Academy.
