West Lake Cultural Plaza is located on the north side of the canal at Wulin Square in Hangzhou, situated in the heart of the city, just 2 kilometers away from West Lake. The entire West Lake Cultural Plaza is a comprehensive square that integrates culture, entertainment, performances, exhibitions, and fitness.
The plaza’s design is set against the architectural backdrop of Hangzhou’s unique West Lake culture, canal culture, and ancient pagoda culture, combining the magnificent imagery of modern civilization to reflect the essence of the graceful and wise Wu Yue culture.
The architectural complex of West Lake Cultural Plaza is divided into five major sections: A, B, C, D, and E. The A, B, C, and D buildings will house the Zhejiang Science and Technology Museum, Zhejiang Natural History Museum, Zhejiang Culture and Art Center, and Global Center Business Building, respectively.
Section E is home to the Xiling Seal Society, Zhejiang Museum, Zhejiang Revolutionary History Memorial Hall, and Zhejiang Painting Academy, among others. The plaza is open all year round and accessible 24/7.
