West Lake Cultural Square is located on the north side of the Grand Canal in Hangzhou’s Wulin Square. It is located in the center of Hangzhou and is only 2 kilometers away from the West Lake. The entire West Lake Cultural Square is a comprehensive square integrating culture, entertainment, performances, exhibitions, fitness and more. The square design takes Hangzhou’s unique West Lake culture, canal culture and ancient tower culture as the architectural background. The West Lake Cultural Square combines the magnificent image of modern civilization and reflects the essence of the Wu and Yue culture that is beautiful outside and intelligent inside.
The building complex of West Lake Cultural Square is divided into five blocks: A, B, C, D, and E. Among them, buildings A, B, C, and D will be home to Zhejiang Science and Technology Museum, Zhejiang Natural History Museum, Zhejiang Cultural and Art Center, and Global Center Business Building respectively. Area E is distributed with Xiling Seal Engravers Society, Zhejiang Provincial Museum, Zhejiang Revolutionary History Memorial Hall, Zhejiang Painting Academy and so on.
