X2 is issued to those who study in China for a short period of time (not exceeding 180 days)

(2) Required materials

1. Passport: Original passport with a validity period of more than 6 months and a blank visa page and a copy of the passport photo and data page.
2. Visa application form and photos: 1 “Visa Application Form of the People’s Republic of China” and 1 recent front-face color passport photo with no hat and light background pasted on the application form.

3. Proof of legal stay or residence (applicable to those who do not apply for a visa in the country of nationality): If you do not apply for a visa in the country of nationality, you need to provide a valid certificate of legal stay, residence, work, and study in the country of residence or the original and copy of a valid visa pieces.
4. Original Chinese passport or original Chinese visa (applicable to those who once had Chinese nationality and later became a foreign national): If you are applying for a Chinese visa for the first time, you must provide the original Chinese passport and a copy of the passport photo data page; When applying for a Chinese visa with a newly issued foreign passport, you must provide the photo data page of the original foreign passport and a copy of the Chinese visa you obtained (if the name recorded in the new passport is inconsistent with the original passport, you must also provide the change issued by the relevant official Proof of name).

5. X1 visa:
   (1) The original and copy of the admission notice issued by the recruiting unit in China;
   (2) The original and copy of the “Visa Application Form for Foreign Students Studying in China” (JW201 or JW202 form).
   [Note] The holder of the certificate must apply for a residence permit within 30 days after entering China from the exit and entry administration agency of the public security organ of the local people’s government at or above the county level where he intends to reside.
