The Wolong Mountain scenic area is located in Haoba Town, Shangyu. The mountain range of Wolong Mountain undulates. It stretches for dozens of miles from east to west. The twists and turns are like a long dragon lying down. The main peak, Jingang Peak, is 320 meters above sea level. In the mountain col, there is Pujing Temple (originally known as Pujing Lotus Society). It was built during the Southern Song Dynasty and has experienced many rises and falls. It was rebuilt in the Qianlong and Jiaqing periods of the Qing Dynasty. In the 1980s, the Three Saints Hall, the Great Compassion Hall, the Earth Store Hall were rebuilt. New jade statues of Sakyamuni Buddha and various Bodhisattvas such as Thousand-Handed Guanyin, Maitreya, and Samantabhadra were newly molded. The temple now covers an area of 50 mu. The main buildings in the temple are the Mahavira Hall and the Chanting Hall. There are specialized libraries, Qielan Hall, etc. The building categories are complete and the environment is quiet. It has now become an open religious activity site. The halls and buildings of Pujing Temple are in a quadrangle shape. A fence is built around it to enclose an area of 40,000 square meters, and fruit trees, flowers and plants are widely planted. Vegetable fields, orchards, and tea mountains are sparsely distributed. Tall and towering bamboo forest belts are lined up on both sides of the central avenue. Dense dark green pine forest clusters act as barriers on all sides. The natural garden is magnificent. When the breeze blows gently, it is like being in an ancient paradise. Standing at a high place in the temple and looking into the distance, the Cao’e River winds out on the right side of the mountain. Like a silver belt, it meanders eastward and flows into the Qiantang River estuary. It is indeed a great place for summer vacation and a holy place for spiritual purification.
