The Wu Cheng’en Memorial Hall, originally known as the Tea Pavilion, was a place for tourists to rest and enjoy tea. It has since been transformed into a memorial hall dedicated to Wu Cheng’en. The hall contains various materials about Wu Cheng’en’s life, as well as different versions of ‘Journey to the West’ preserved from around the world today, along with writings from ‘Journey to the West’ research experts and scholars. It has put an end to the centuries-long debate over the exact location of the Flower-Fruit Mountain prototype in ‘Journey to the West’. The opening hours and specific business status are subject to the day’s opening conditions.
