Wu Culture Park, also known as Wu Culture Expo Garden. In the tourism industry, it is called Wuxi Folk Village. It is the first large-scale cultural garden founded by farmers’ donations in China. It is located on Xigaoshan, Yanqiao Town, Huishan District, Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province. The park was built in mid-spring 1984. The scenic spots and layouts focus on integrating natural landscapes and cultural landscapes. Taking thousands of years of history and culture of Wu region as the longitude and various sections of grand culture as the latitude, it integrates excellent national culture and rural national education into one garden. It is a unique cultural construction project rarely seen in China. Wu Garden takes Wu culture as its connotation. Eighteen exhibition halls and sixteen scenic spots have been built in the park. There are 18 exhibition areas such as Daofengwei, Yanli Farmhouse, Taohuacun Hotel, Silkworm Mulberry Lane, Wu Region Ship and Bridge History Museum, Xishan Transportation Museum, Wuxi Academician Museum, Patriotic Stele Corridor, Xishan Education Museum, Wu Region Development History Hall, Wu Region Celebrity Hall, Teachers’ Mountain, Wu Region Buddhist Culture Museum, Wu Region Folk Belief Culture Museum, Wu Region 360 Trades Exhibition Hall, Jiangnan Customs Garden, Fushou Mountain Villa, and God of Wealth Tower. There are sixteen scenic spots such as Pregnant Wu Zhaohui. With abundant materials, objects, pictures, and audio-visual images as means, it presents a magnificent picture scroll of Wu region’s production, humanities, and folk customs in five thousand years. It forms the theme of patriotic education: educate people with strong local feelings, inspire people with a gathering of talents, encourage people with the national spirit of resisting aggression, and cultivate people with colorful folk culture. It prominently reflects that Wu culture is the soul of the beautiful Jiangnan. Wu Garden is also equipped with student camp service area, Wu Street business district, Wanjuanlou research service area, Doctor Building reception area, Koutianlou administrative area, and believers’ accommodation area to provide high-quality services for tourists. Opening hours: 08:00 – 17:00 from January 1st to December 31st.
