Wu Jingzi’s Former Residence is located at the intersection of Qingxi River and Qinhuai River in Nanjing, adjacent to the ancient Taoye Ferry, known as Qinhuai Water Pavilion. The exhibition hall covers an area of 800 square meters, divided into southern and northern parts.
The southern part is the site of the ancient Taoye Ferry, named after the great calligrapher Wang Xianzhi of the Jin Dynasty, who once welcomed his beloved Taoye here. Over thousands of years, poets and literati have often recited poems and composed verses here, leaving behind many beautiful verses and vivid folk tales;
The northern part is Wu Jingzi’s former residence, displaying various versions of the work ‘The Scholars’, reflecting representative moments of Wu Jingzi’s life and becoming another stronghold for the study of Wu’s works. Open all year round from 9:00 to 17:00.
