Wu Niang Niang Theme Park is located at the entrance of the ancient town’s west line. It is a theme park with water town characteristics and cultural history, based on the folk love story of ‘Wu Niang’. It is said that during the late Qing Dynasty, Wu Niang, the daughter of the Yang family in Tangdong Village, fell in love with the long-term worker Xu A Tian, which was opposed by her half-brother and led to their persecution and death. The park includes attractions such as the statue of Wu Niang, the ‘Du Wa Pavilion’, and the water stage. Among them, the ‘Du Wa Pavilion’ is a pavilion made from a single tile, which Xu A Tian, while working as a kiln worker, specially fired to express his love for Wu Niang. Inside the pavilion, there is a bell hanging, engraved with the scene of their meeting here and the words of love at first sight. The park is open all year round, accessible 24/7, with specific operational status subject to daily opening conditions.
