**Wuhua Sea**

The altitude of Wuhua Sea in Jiuzhaigou is 2462 meters. It is 450 meters long, 313 meters wide, and 9 meters deep. It is a barrier lake formed by landslides and debris flows blocking the original glacial valley. It is known as ‘a unique sight in Jiuzhaigou’ and ‘the essence of Jiuzhaigou’. It is located above Pearl Shoal Waterfall and at the lower part of Panda Lake, at the end of the upstream of Peacock River in Rizegou. A lake is harmonized by nature into a colorful and beautiful scenery, which is a magnificent sight that can never be created artificially.
Among the many lakes in Jiuzhaigou, the one with the greatest reputation and the most beautiful scenery is undoubtedly Wuhua Sea. Wuhua Sea has rich changes and myriad postures, and can be regarded as the essence of Jiuzhaigou scenic area. Looking down from the Tiger Mouth viewing point, Wuhua Sea is like a peacock spreading its tail, colorful, dazzling, and extremely beautiful. This is a real fairy tale world and a legendary paradise of colors!
From afar, what comes into view is the clear and beautiful figure composed of cyan-green, dark green, dark blue, navy blue, golden yellow, and some indescribable colors in the embrace of Wuhua Sea. They are intermingled but not chaotic, set off each other but not erode each other, and embellish each other but not crowd each other. It is extremely beautiful and just right.
