Wujindang Park

It is said that Yue Fei shot down Jin Wushu’s black turban here, and Wujindang got its name from this. There are seven or eight bodies of water in Wujindang Park, of different sizes and shapes. Small ones are called ponds, medium ones are called pools, and large ones are called marshes. The weeping willows on the river bank are extremely beautiful.
There is also Shangfang Temple in the park. It was built during the Chongzhen period of the Ming Dynasty and is known as ‘the first temple in northern Jiangsu’. The temple is surrounded by water on all sides. Now, the architectural complexes such as Ciyun Bridge, mountain gate, Mahavira Hall, Tripitaka Sutra Depository, Precept Platform Hall, east side hall, east wing room, release pond and platform have been completed.
