Wukang Road is located in Xuhui District, Shanghai. Originally named Ferguson Road, it is named after American missionary John Ferguson. Wukang Road connects the busy Huaihai Middle Road in the north and south with the secluded Huashan Road. It is a ‘Famous Chinese Historical and Cultural Street’ with 37 historical buildings. Among them, there are 14 excellent historical buildings. It is truly a ‘road of celebrities’.
Strolling on this old road with a history of a hundred years, the ancient trees on both sides are lush and green. From time to time, you can see European-style buildings scattered by the roadside. If you want to savor the past and present of Wukang Road carefully, it may take a whole day. There are also many coffee shops and restaurants here for rest. Wukangting at No. 376 is surrounded by three old foreign houses. Among the blooming flowers, there is a restaurant called Coffee Tree that is very popular. Ordering a vegetable panini with a cup of fragrant coffee is very satisfying. The Farine café at No. 378 is filled with a simple French rural flavor.
