The Qingming Bridge Ancient Canal Scenic Area is located in the heart of Wuxi City, where ancient water town architecture and genuine old residences form the streets together. There are visitable attractions as well as bars and restaurants. The night view is more beautiful than the day view, with the lighted houses with white walls and black tiles, and strings of red lanterns reflected in the canal, attracting countless cameras.

Sitting on a cruise boat, from Nanchan Temple Wharf to Kuatang Bridge, you will see fashionable ancient-style buildings and the Yangchun Alley commercial area. From Kuatang Bridge to Qingming Bridge is the essence part, known as ‘Jiangnan Water Alley, the Ultimate Canal Land’. Upon seeing the ‘Ancient Canal City’ archway on the right bank, it signifies entering the true historical district transformed from old houses, where you can discover many water-facing beauties and small terraces along the way.

After passing Dagong Bridge, on the right bank, there is the China Silk Museum. After Qingming Bridge, on the left bank, is the Wuxi Kiln Site Museum, and further ahead to Shuixian Temple, upon seeing the ‘Tang Tree Shade’ archway, it means the end of the street district. It is recommended to take a cruise boat to Shuixian Temple and then walk back to Nanchan Temple Wharf, where you can visit Shuixian Temple, the Canal Culture and Art Museum, Kanggong Fire Extinguishing Association, and the China Silk Museum along the way.

If interested, you can also take a detour to Yangchun Alley. If tired, you can take the electric cart that runs between Kuatang Bridge and Qingming Bridge for a fee of 5 yuan. The area is open all year round from 13:00 to 21:00.
