The Jiangnan Ancient Canal integrates two water and land tourism routes, the moat canal around the city and the Qingming Bridge, allowing visitors to appreciate the modern urban scenery of Wuxi while traveling along the ancient city. Various themed cultural and natural landscapes can also be experienced. The section of the ancient canal from Nanchang Bridge to Qingming Bridge, known for its narrower river section and long history, is referred to as the ‘Water Alley’.

Due to its long-standing history, well-preserved state, and perfect combination of water and culture, it has become the ‘essence of the essence’ of the ancient canal, earning the title ‘Jiangnan Water Alley, the Ultimate Canal Destination’. The Qingming Bridge Ancient Canal Cruise (Kuatangqiao Wharf) is located next to the Kuatangqiao Bridge, conveniently accessible right beside a Starbucks. After enjoying the nostalgic atmosphere of Qingming Bridge, visitors can take a cruise here, passing by many ancient-style buildings, which is a great way to understand the old history of Wuxi.
