Wuxi Film and Television Base is a direct subsidiary of China Central Television Media Co., Ltd. (Stock Code: 600088). Established in 1987, the base covers an area of approximately 1200 acres, with usable water areas of about 3000 acres. The affiliated Three Kingdoms and Water Margin scenic area was constructed for filming the historical masterpieces ‘Romance of the Three Kingdoms’ and ‘Water Margin’, making it one of the earliest theme scenic areas in China that perfectly integrates historical culture, film culture, and tourism culture. It is also one of the first batch of national AAAAA-level tourist attractions.
The Three Kingdoms City and Water Margin City enjoy a superior geographical location, facing the vast and misty Taihu Lake and backed by the lush and verdant Junshan Mountain, offering a picturesque natural scenery that fully embodies the spirit and beauty of Taihu Lake. The buildings within the scenic area are magnificent, simple, and well-arranged. The main attractions include the Palace of King Wu, Peach Garden, Ganlu Temple, Cao’s Camp, Purple Stone Street, Qingming Shanghe Street, Song Imperial Palace, and Liangshan Gathering Hall, among others.

The spectacular performances are a highlight of the scenic area. The large-scale horse battle performance ‘Three Heroes Fight against Lu Bu’ recreates the war scenes of the Three Kingdoms period with golden armor and iron horses, conquering the hearts of countless audiences with its grand performance and shocking horse combat. The film stunt performance ‘Fight against Ximen Qing’ recreates the exciting story of Wu Song avenging his brother by fighting against Ximen Qing, revealing the secrets of special effects commonly used in film and television shooting, such as flying people, aerial combat, burning people, pyrotechnic explosions, and other special effects that are displayed in the program.

The gorgeous stage play ‘Lo Shen Fu Tu’ takes classic poems, prose, and famous paintings as its core content, using dance, instrumental music, and recitation as artistic forms of expression, integrating stage visuals, lighting, and sound effects into one, providing visitors with a legendary journey through time and space, leading the public to appreciate timeless masterpieces together… These long-running performances in the Three Kingdoms and Water Margin scenic area showcase the well-known and beloved classic stories from historical masterpieces.

The scenic area offers a variety of participation projects. Activities such as taking an ancient boat tour on Taihu Lake, Zhuge’s Crossbow, the Bagua Array, and the Naval Training Camp are full of fun and make people linger and forget to return. As a famous film and television shooting base in China, it has already received the filming of thousands of domestic and foreign films and TV dramas such as ‘Romance of the Three Kingdoms’, ‘Water Margin’, ‘Emperor Tang Minghuang’, ‘The Palace of Great Brightness’, ‘The Smiling, Proud Wanderer’, ‘The Grand Mansion’, ‘The Legend of the Condor Heroes’, ‘The World’s Granary’, ‘The Beauty’s Calculation’, ‘The Legend of Wu Zetian’, ‘When the Flowers Were Blooming and the Moon Was Full’, ‘The Story of Minglan’, etc.


Wuxi Film and Television Base warmly welcomes tourists and film and television production teams from home and abroad with scientific management, high-quality service, innovative products, and complete film shooting facilities. Free admission for children under 4 meters (inclusive) or under 6 years old (inclusive).



For the elderly: Those over 69 years old (exclusive) can enter for free with valid certificates. Elderly people between 60 years old (inclusive) and 69 years old (inclusive) can enjoy half-price tickets with valid certificates.


For the disabled: Disabled people and military disabled personnel can enter for free with valid certificates. For severely disabled people (level 1 and level 2 disabilities), one accompanying person can enter for free with valid certificates.


For tour guides/drivers: Those who hold an electronic tour guide certificate, travel agency manager qualification certificate, and tour leader certificate issued by the National Tourism Administration can enter for free when performing group tour tasks. Tour guides who do not lead a group but hold an electronic tour guide certificate issued by the National Tourism Administration can enjoy half-price tickets with valid electronic tour guide certificates.


For blood donors: Those who hold the Jiangsu Province Honorary Certificate for Voluntary Blood Donation or the Jiangsu Province Honorary Certificate for Acts of Bravery can enter for free after presenting both the honorary certificate and their ID cards for verification.


For minors: Minors between 6 years old (exclusive) and 18 years old (inclusive) can enjoy half-price tickets with valid certificates.


For students: Full-time undergraduate and below students can enjoy half-price tickets with valid certificates.


For military personnel: Those who hold the ‘People’s Republic of China Preferential Treatment Certificate for Retired Military Personnel’ and the ‘People’s Republic of China Preferential Treatment Certificate for Martyrs, Military Personnel Who Died on Duty, and Surviving Family Members of Military Personnel Who Died of Illness’ can enter for free. Active-duty military personnel, retired military personnel, and retired sergeants (non-commissioned officers) and entitled groups enjoying national pension and subsidy can enter for free with valid identity documents.


Supplementary note: One adult can bring a maximum of 2 free children into the park. If the number of free children exceeds the limit, they need to purchase tickets separately to enter the park and sign an informed consent form for entering the park.
