The Hollywood Fashion Street is a commercial hub that celebrates the essence of film culture and quality. It is designed to offer an immersive experience centered around food, leisure, and entertainment, all with a distinct film and television theme.
Inspired by the movie “Free Willy”—known as “The Story of Mermaids” in Chinese—the street features a variety of attractions. Four photo spots are particularly popular: “Dolphins Chasing Waves,” “Willy Playing in the Water,” “Pirate Ship,” and “Bumblebee.” These spots provide visitors with the perfect backdrop for capturing memorable moments.
For those seeking local flavor, an indigenous film and television products store offers a range of specialty items from across East China. Favorites include Wuxi spareribs, fried gluten puff, Yangshan honey peaches, Yixing Yangxian tea, and Xishan yellow rice wine, all of which are cherished by tourists from around the globe.
A standout attraction is the 5D light and shadow show, “Moving Wuxi with Film and Television.” This visual spectacle merges the latest holographic laser technology with various audio-visual elements such as projection, water curtains, and music. The show runs for 25 minutes and employs film techniques to narrate a tale of justice triumphing over evil.
Structured into four chapters, the show takes viewers on a journey through different realms: the romantic and peaceful Dreamy Jiangnan, the joyful and rhythmic Digital Kingdom, the flashy and cool Mechanical Enigma City, and the just and emotional Beautiful Era. With the synergy of projection and laser, the static buildings across the lake are brought to life, dancing in harmony with the guardian elves to the music. This creates an enchanting, dreamlike experience, as if stepping into a beautiful fairy tale world.The audience seats on the scene burst into cheers and applause several times, and everyone is shocked by the impactful visual effects in front of them.
