The Wuzhen Internet International Convention and Exhibition Center is located in the northwest of the Xizha scenic area. It is adjacent to the canal in the west, Huanyuhe Road in the east, and connects to the Xizha scenic area in the south. The entire center has a construction area of 81,000 square meters and is divided into three functional blocks: conference center, reception center, and exhibition center. Inside the venue, in accordance with international large-scale conference standards, it is equipped with advanced software and hardware facilities. The Wuzhen Internet International Convention and Exhibition Center is led by Mr. Wang Shu, a winner of the Pritzker Architecture Prize and a professor at the China Academy of Art. It is the main venue for the future World Internet Conference and also the main place for the Wuzhen scenic area to undertake conferences and exhibitions in the future. The architectural style of the Wuzhen Internet International Convention and Exhibition Center focuses on the combination of tradition and modernity. In particular, 2.6 million pieces of small green tiles from Jiangnan are used on the facade, and 51,000 steel cables are used to imply the Internet with a mesh texture. The overall scene presents a harmonious coexistence of ancient Jiangnan architecture and modern networks, and also forms a vibrant dialogue of the times with the entire Wuzhen.
