Xiamen: A Culinary Journey on the Island

Xiamen is a beautiful coastal city. As the largest island of Xiamen, Gulangyu is one of the most popular tourist attractions and is also a renowned food city, home to a variety of mouth-watering delicacies.
Gulangyu Island, one of the most beloved islands in Xiamen, is known for its beautiful natural scenery, rich history, and cultural landscapes. The island boasts a variety of attractive gardens, parks, restaurants, and bars, but the most famous aspect is the Gulangyu cuisine.
Xiamen’s seafood, characterized by its freshness and great taste, attracts tourists from all over. Related merchants in the Xiamen seafood market use seafood freshly caught on-site. Minnan Folk Culture
Xiamen is part of the Minnan region, with unique folk culture. For example, the Fujian Tulou in Xiamen Minnan is a unique building in Xiamen Minnan and is also one of the most representative traditional buildings in Fujian. It represents the wisdom and courage of the Tu people, thus having profound historical significance. In addition, there are cultural elements such as Minnan soil flute and Nan Yin puppetry.
Beautiful Beaches
The beaches in Xiamen are all very beautiful, including the ‘Haibinqu Beach’, which was once selected by Time Magazine as one of the ‘Top Ten Most Beautiful Beaches in the World’, and the ‘Hulushan Fortress National Nature Reserve’, which is one of the most beautiful beaches in China.
Chongwu Ancient City
Chongwu Ancient City is located on the southeast coast of Xiamen City. Due to its long history and unique characteristics, it is listed as a cultural heritage protection unit in Fujian Province. It is an ancient city of national culture, preserving a large number of buildings and layouts from the Ming and Qing dynasties, and is one of the best-preserved ancient fishing villages along the Chinese coastline.
