Xianjingju, located in Baita Town, Xianju County, is a scenic area that embodies the essence of Xianju, with features reminiscent of both the profound seclusion of Tiantai and the extraordinary peaks of Yandang. Each mountain, water body, cliff, cave, stone, and peak here stands out distinctively, as if meticulously designed by deities for their own residences. The area is renowned for its large-scale volcanic rhyolite landforms, with a rich and concentrated array of landscapes, including over a hundred attractions such as the Guanyin Peak, Ruyi Bridge, Wolong Bridge, Yuanmeng Bridge, Hongmeng Bridge, Buddha Shadow Lotus Rhyme, Lianhua Terrace, Nan Tian Ding, and Nan Tian Ladder. Centered around the Xi’an Valley, the area forms a landscape of peaks, cliffs, streams, and waterfalls.
The scenic area is accessible through four main gates—East, West, South, and North—each formed by two opposing peaks, as if welcoming guests on behalf of their masters. Visitors can enter the scenic area from the North Entrance (Xi’an Valley) or the South Entrance (Dan Bamboo). For those who prefer not to climb, cable cars are available to avoid the labor of mountain climbing. Alternatively, one can stroll along the winding valley paths, enjoying the flat mountain trails, and take in the grandeur of the ten-mile valley with its thousand sheer cliffs and ten-thousand-foot precipices, as well as the tranquility of the mist and low clouds, and the harmonious sounds of birds and frogs.
