Xiao Chi Bi is located at the entrance of Xiandu Scenic Area. It features a steep cliff with a red and white interlaced appearance, resembling a flame-scorched surface, hence the name Xiao Chi Bi. Within the scenic area, there is an island in the stream, and within the island, there is a lake, reminiscent of the fairyland of Penglai. Major attractions include: Long Geng Road, Mother-in-law and Daughter-in-law Rock, Xian Bang Rock, and Big Belly Rock, among others. Other attractions include: Xiao Penglai, under the Chi Bi, Kuntan is filled with peculiar rocks, scattered yet orderly. They form caves and water surfaces in the deep pool that are deep or shallow, wide or narrow, large or small, separate or connected. If you take a boat into the stream, with islands and lakes within, the scenery changes with the movement of the boat, as if you are in the fairyland of Penglai, hence the name ‘Xiao Penglai’. Dragon Head Peak, located at the top of the hill south of the Mother-in-law and Daughter-in-law Rock, stands steep and tall like a dragon’s head, hence the name Dragon Head Peak. From Zhou Village, looking at Dragon Head Peak, it stands tall and majestic, anciently known as Xuanwu Cliff, with Tianmen and Qingshi Cave, and other famous scenic spots below the cliff. Bu Xian Bridge, also known as Ji Chuan Bridge, is a provincial-level key cultural relics protection unit. Wang Shixing of the Ming Dynasty (Wu Yue You Cao) wrote in his poem: ‘Xiandu… the mountain is twenty miles away from the county. Passing through Sangtan, you can see the rocks of Gu Fu, Xian Shi, all named by their meanings… After crossing Bu Xian Bridge, it hangs over a thousand feet, and the color is white like a wipe, named Xian Ren Bang.’ Yuan Mei’s ‘Journey to Xiandu Peak’ is inscribed on stone. In the spring of the 47th year of Qianlong’s reign (1782), the renowned literary figure Yuan Mei traveled in Eastern Zhejiang. After visiting Yandang Mountain, he passed through Chuxiong and Jinyun County. At that time, the county magistrate, Mr. Lu, was out, and it was the season of abundant spring river water, making it inconvenient to visit Xiandu. The officials told him the truth, and he had to give up. However, he saw a family in the county yamen raising pigs in the hall, which made him laugh mockingly. On Huanglong Mountain, he wrote ‘Journey to Huanglong Mountain’. In the evening, he stayed at Huangbitang and saw the peculiar local customs, stepping into Huangbi Yu. Recognized by the villagers, he changed his accommodation to the home of Mr. Yu Qishu. The next day, led by Yu Qishu, he passed through Wu Yuan to Xiandu, enjoyed a day’s visit, and wrote an article and several poems. Since then, Yu Qishu has become a mountain friend of Yuan Mei, with a very good friendship. In 1917, when Ouyang Zhonggao of Han Chuan served as the county magistrate of Jinyun, he allocated funds to engrave on the stone wall. The opening hours are all year round from 08:00 to 17:00.
