It is particularly known for its collection of works by famous painters and schools from the Ming and Qing dynasties and modern times in Anhui, such as the Longcheng Painting School, the Jianghuai Freehand Style Painting School, and well-known local artists from Xiao County.

The museum’s exhibition is divided into four main parts: ancient civilization, the splendor of the Han Dynasty, the lingering charm of the Tang and Song dynasties, and modern civilization, with three exhibition halls: ‘Ancient and Modern Cultural Relics’, ‘Xiao County Han Dynasty Stone Carving Art Museum’, and ‘Xiao County Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition Hall’. It is open all year round from Tuesday to Sunday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
