Located on the west side of Wangu Bridge in Nanhe Town, Huzhou City, Zhejiang Province. The Jia Ye Hall is a book collection building of Liu Chenggan, a modern figure, which was completed in 1924 and named after the imperial plaque ‘Qin Ruo Jia Ye’ from Emperor Puyi of the Qing Dynasty. It is a two-story brick and wood structure with a floor plan resembling the Chinese character ‘hui’, consisting of two main halls and side rooms, with a central courtyard and surrounding corridors.
Xiao Lian Zhuang, one of the famous gardens in Jiangnan, was built by local merchant Liu Tong in the 11th year of the Guangxu Emperor (1885), covering an area of 17,000 square meters with a construction area of 1,250 square meters. The garden is centered around a pond, creating an inner garden dominated by mountains and an outer garden dominated by water. It is open to the public from 08:00 to 16:30 all year round.
